The work of Christian Aid International began thirty-five years ago. This work began with one worker helping the poor each month, which led to developiing a college scholarship program in Vietnam. Over the years, Christian Aid International’s vision has enlarged and encompasses partnering with those on the field in Southeast Asia and beyond, who bring humanitarian aid to rural areas, who participate in sports ministry and church planting, who work with IDP (Internationally Displaced People), and who work to bring justice and healing to child survivors of human trafficking.
Now, thirty-five years later, the college scholarship fund continues to be an important ministry supported by Christian Aid International in Vietnam. Pastor D, as a young scholarship student, was financially supported for his education at the college level from 2009 to 2012. He shares, “The scholarship helped me through my financial circumstances to obtain a degree. I am thankful for Christian Aid International. After graduating college, I was called to full time ministry and went to an evangelical college. Now I am a pastor because of your giving."
This year Christian Aid International attended Pastor D’s inauguration as he became a pastor of a church in a rural South Vietnam. We spent time with him, met his family, played with his children, and saw firsthand, the opportunity that this young man was given because he received a scholarship. We thank you and praise God for each of you who give sacrificially and generously to Christian Aid International to meet the needs and share the gospel message to the least of these.
